I have used both. I have just ditched a Phillips 3 Floating Head job for a cheap Korean foil one.

I started with a Remington Foil one and thought that the Phillips with 3 Floating Head might be better. Sadly it was not, it does not shave as close as the foil, even with an assortment of Pre-Shaves to help it.

However: a Foil's only drawback is that they have difficulty picking up hairs that are much over half a centimetre. They only pick up the ones that stick straight from the skin

I've used both and I like the floating head circular head razor (Norelco) the best. But, I went back to the old double edge safety razor for the best shaves.

That was so long ago I actually forgot the model number but any of the newer Norelco's with the floating heads use the same system.

Currently using a Kemei KM-2024.

But, I now have a beard so it's just for trimming the unshaven bits

Then you should probably go for a foil shaver for an electric as all the rotary shavers operate on the same principle.

i have this and i think it sucks https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Norelco-PT724-41-Packaging/dp/B00CP4H3T0/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2KYXGYKQUKKT4&dchild=1&keywords=norelco+pt724+razor&qid=1619375228&sprefix=norelco+pt724%2Caps%2C174&sr=8-1

I'd recommend one of the 5 blade or 6 blade ones.

CD: That has to be a spoof

Bruinator: Try the Kemei, it costs less than 20$ and charges from your PCs USB socket (but it takes 8 hours - Overnight is how I do it) - If you don't like it, at that price, you can afford to give it away

Dan, how much does it cost to replace the heads when needed? Any idea?

I'll find out next year. They said the heads need replaced once a year.
