"eBay doesn't run a general customer support number anymore. But they do still run a hotline for eBay members who have been victims of fraud. If you've dealt with a fraudster on eBay, call the hotline at 1-866-961-9253."

Is this you?

And is this you?

If so, why do you have two user accounts here at BC?

Hi

I wont comment on the alleged 2 accounts.

However

I see no problem with him asking this question on multiple forums. But I do see your point Moxie.

Nick.

I'm not sure it will work. I had the same issue trying to contact an agent at Walmart. Start a chat with the automated assistant and in the chat ask for a live agent. Scroll to near the bottom of the page in the below link.

The inquiry about the other forum post was only because of the username there that seems to be the same as the Topic Starter's other identity here (not because of an identical cross-post at another forum).

It seemed unusual for one forum member to have 2 different, active accounts here at BC (something prohibited by forum rules).

Nothing more, nothing less.

I apologize for confusion or misunderstanding.

This thread should only really contain two posts and be locked imo.

I have never used Paypal or Ebay,  they have not shown to have a good track record when it comes to dispute resolution.  Too many unscrupulous people deal in those sites and are loaded with scams and misrepresentation of items being sold.  Best to just stay away.  Better to be safe, pay a reasonable price than risk it all on one of those sites.  I see many displaying items with an included Amazon logo but  the site doesn't take you to Amazon, big, big indicator of a scam.

I must be lucky. I've bought a lot of things on ebay including a lenovo laptop and Nvidia GPU. I've only had three problems and those were resolved by the seller.

I go by the users' reviews; I don't consider any vendor with less than 50 sales, and a 97% or higher satisfaction rating. No problems so far.

+Cryptodan.....agreed!  Sometimes there is no other choice. I have an old 4x24" Craftsman belt sander (50yrs old!), solid aluminum body and runs like a champ. Was using it and accidentally caught the power cord and it got wound around the rollers and broke the belt. NO way to get a Craftsman (Sears DOA) belt for that wonderful old faithful machine.

Cruised over to Ebay, and, gosh & by golly, there were Two (2) for sale. Checked with the company and they verified, so I got two for $12 plus a couple of bucks shipping. Work like a charm and I have my old buddy up & running again.

Many years back, I had a bad experience on Amazon.

Since then, I have dealt solely with eBay, and had no problems.
