I need to transfer my "favorites" from my yahoo,

desktop to my newish laptop....Can I do this via usb stick? If so can someone explain the steps

to take to do it?? I have a "Sam Data sd501/128gb usb2.0" stick. have never used one before...I'm

an old guy, a user, not a techie....thanks a bunch for any help.....(oh and I did manage to download

the office program so I now have my excel and word...thanks again for thaT help....) don

Disclaimer: I do not use anything "Yahoo" and have not used Windows 7 for many years

 

And I think you might be referring to Yahoo "bookmarks"?

Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what you're describing, as I have not used Yahoo for anything for many years (largely because of several egregious security breaches).

 

I expect that someone else who does use the Yahoo bits will be along to provide better help.

 

But generally, for things like this (such as browser bookmarks/favorites) it's a process of EXPORTING on the old computer and then IMPORTING on the new computer.

Your Yahoo favorites may already be synced. If you login to your yahoo account on the new computer do you see your favorites? What browser are you using?

Hot D**mn,,,,,I got them, whoopee, somehow HE was looking after this old fool, and i went

and synced my bookmarks then did a save and somehow it worked on the new laptop....whoooopeee.,,,,

Thanks BC, If I hadn't looked at that link I'd still be lost!!!!! don

Sync'ing can have its drawbacks, but this is one instance where it was/is helpful.
