Seeking Assistance / Windows 7 Lost All My Data / Hard Drive Failure

I'm seeking some assistance regarding Windows 7. My hard drive failed (Smart Test Failed on the Drive): Error Code: BIO HD 8. I had to register again because I did not have a two- step verification from Google and I forgot my password. Now, after retrieving the password from my hard drive in the library, I'm locked out for too many attempts.

Here is the brief details I sent to Bleeping Computer upon registration:

"I am a member but I had to establish a new account because my Windows 7 hard drive failed and I lost all my data. The backup hard drives have been compromised in that the video files will only play with VLC Player. I'll establish a thread here". Thank you very much. My prior user name was Synoptic12,now it is just Synoptic.

A.) I have three external hard drives whereby a huge amount of video files have been compromised on all three hard drives. The videos will play with VLC Player only. The videos are mostly in MP4 and vmany are in Quicktime (MOV.). This has got me stumped. In addition, my dash cam Micro SD Card was just plugged into my PC and I cannot view any of the videos, again; "Only with the VLC Player". Can any provide an answer to this problem?

B.) I performed a great many steps to try to find the issue and the only thing showing was a "failed hard drive". There was a black screen so I shut down the PC for a day. On the following day 

C.) I did a complete recovery on the following day.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.   Checkmark the following checkboxes:
  List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
  List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
 
Click Go and paste the content into your next post.
 
Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy,  taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

   Go to  website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from ccleanercom (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

    After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.
 
     Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):
 


     Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot.

     Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the ADD REPLY or REPLY TO THIS TOPIC button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Post below the Reply box.

Dash Cam video and video files will only play with VLC Player. Any assistance is appreciated. Prior member: Synoptic12. I had to create a new email.

Thank you very much Louis. You assisted me greatly in the past. I performed a system recovery twice as the first recovery failed on the third disk. The second time around worked. However, I cannot install any updates with Windows 7. I had Windows Photo Gallery, then it disappeared. Windows Media Player keeps replacing videos and pictures and doubling the sample pictures. I cannot install Microsoft Security essentials which I had prior and I cannot install Windows Live Essentials, Itried. And, I tried just to install Windows Movie Maker and that would not install.

My friend has a computer business and is in the security sector. He is due to arrive tomorrow to assist me. I ordered the Hard Drive from Amazon (WD6400AAKS-65A7B2) which I believe is 640 Gb. I've lost everything, all data, all my banking profile had to be changed and I'm still working.  This is too much for me. I 'm just recovering from lung surgery. Again Louis, I am greatfull for the courtesy and assistance.

I cannot "Copy and Paste" or I would have done so. 'Copy' is grayed out.

Then that is on your end.  Copy and paste the text from the text file (,txt) generated is what is being aked.  Note to copy/paste the text file.  It is the text within the file you are copy and pasting.

The Speccy Report is a URL, copy and paste into the text box (here) using the Toolbar icon that looks like a chain, switch to https the paste the url and close. or just copy/paste the url here in this box.

In future to copy all text highlight a few lines or words then use Keyboard command : CTRL and A to highlight all the text and Right Click and copy/paste.

Most others complete both requests of the Speccy Report URL and the MTB Report in the same box.  Still waiting for the Speccy Report.
