Hey Bleeping Computer community,

I have been running a medical billing services website for a while now, and encountered a critical issue that's been causing a lot of frustration. I'm hoping someone with experience in web development or medical billing might be able to shed some light on this situation.

Recently, some of our clients have reported that they are unable to access their billing information on our website. They get an error message that says, "Access Denied - Unauthorized User." I've checked our user access settings, and they seem to be correctly configured.

Here's the strange part: this issue isn't consistent. Some clients can log in without any problems, while others encounter this error. It's causing confusion and irritation among our clients, and we need to get to the bottom of it ASAP.

I'm not sure if this is a technical glitch or if there's something related to medical billing regulations that I might be missing. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with their medical billing website or have any insight into what might be causing this problem?

I'm more than willing to provide additional information about my website, such as the technology stack we're using or any specific configurations. I'm hoping someone can help us resolve this issue and ensure our clients have seamless access to their billing information.

Your expertise and advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure you will get an answer on the Windows 7 forum. If people are using an outdated browser to access the website there may be a problem but I can't confirm that.

I think your best bet would be to ask the question on a coding site like Stack Overflow.

What John said....

And all the HIPAA-compliance / security considerations, too.

If I were you, given the highly sensitive & financial data your website handles, I'd consult an infosec professional.
HIPAA violations- even if unintentional - are a very serious, very expensive catastrophe both for your patients and for your business.

Respectfully submitted
