Macrium Reflect free edition is still available, although not advertised as such on the Macrium website. 30 day trial is only offered.

Get MR from Major Geeks website: https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/macrium_reflect_free_edition.html

From Geeks website:

Download the Downloader file on their website, above link.

>When running the downloaded file, in the options on the top, change from the HOME Edition to FREE.
>Click Options, then choose Download Installer and PE Components
>Uncheck "Run Installer when downloaded" (that's if you want to save the entire program file, which is a good idea).
>After the download is complete, run the setup to install

Note that I have not installed the downloaded file yet, I will on a different computer when one comes in for service. I assume this will work. Truthfully, in all the years I have used MR, the updates have not changed it's performance one way or another. I doubt there will be updates to this free edition, but I don't know that for a fact.

This is a 600gig download so a fast internet access would be helpful.

People with Macrium Free can get the emergency security fix that was offered for paid user at the start of the week.

Just open Macrium and ask it to check for updates.

It will install build 8.0.7690. I had no issues doing this.

It offered to update boot menu too which I did too.

Well, I updated and MR installed the Vi Boot with a shortcut on my desktop.

I am less than impressed; Vi won't recognize any of my images on my exterior docking station. In fact, it won't even find my docking station.

Using Windows Explore, it immediately recognizes my exterior drive and all my images and I can start the virtual access that way, no problem.

I cannot comment on that as I don't use Vi boot and unticked the box for it when I did that update.

My own Macrium Reflect (free) installation is still automatically informing/prompting me to install updates... (In fact, I had at least a pair of updates in only a 3 days span recently..)
