TrayIt! is a small free utility that allows you to minimize any program to the Windows tray rather than the Windows taskbar. Let's face it, the Windows task bar is prime real estate and there are just certain programs that we want to continue running in the background, but do not want to take up the space on the task bar.  TrayIt is the perfect program to solve this problem as it allows you to set any window or application to minimize to the task tray and still continue to run.

TrayIt is easy to use, simply start the program and open up the various Windows you want to minimize to the task tray. Then in TrayIT right-click on each Window you wish to configure and select Place in System Tray. It is also suggested that you go into the options and specify that you wish to TrayIT to start automatically as it needs to be running for you to minimize Windows to the tray.
