I recently upgraded my PC, and it has been functioning well for 20 days. However, I've encountered two blue screens with the following message: "Page Fault in Nonpaged Area Windows 10 NTFS.sys."

Do you have any ideas about what might be causing this problem? It appeared randomly, and I wasn't playing any games.

My PC is this:

CPU:Intel® Core™ i9-10900K

GPU:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

RAM:G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB (2x16) DDR4 3600

PSU: Corsair RM850X 850W

MOTHERBOAD: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO (WI-FI)

Also I have a water cooler from corsair, I can find the exact model tomorrow

OS: Windows 10 (not activated yet)

Thanks for your time

Giannis

Why is Windows not activated? How did you obtain it and what license do you have?

I don't have a cd key. I wanted to ensure that everything works first, and then I will purchase a CD key. I just didn't want to waste it like that.
If the problem is because of that I will get one.

Update: just got a new bsod with the stop code: MEMORY MANAGEMENT.

The weird thing is that I got the motherboard, ram and cpu from a friend, his system was working properly.

I never took out of the motherboard, the cpu, or the ram, and he never had memory issues.

I just removed his motherboard ram and cpu from his pc and placed it on mine.

Same story as at your GTG thread here johnny15, the i9-10900K CPU specs here state a maximum of 2933MHz RAM is supported.

Guess what Phil,

I got the system from the guy that upgraded his pc. :D

What do you suggest me to do?

His PC was working fine for more than a year, but now I'm having the blue screens. :(

I also did half of the memory test  ubuysa suggested and got more than 6000errors

I would make friends with someone that has a stable computer for sale John  :P

Try restoring the MBs default factory settings in the BIOS, they are sometimes listed as one of the following " factory defaults" "most stable" or on newer boards "optimized" please note that if you have both the "most stable" and the "optimized" options in the BIOS you should choose the most stable" option as in this instance the "optimized" settings are a form of overclocking that can cause instability.

Save the new settings, exit the BIOS, restart the computer, test by using the computer as you normally would, post back with an update once you have done this.

Doing the above will disable any OC and if the PC runs stable you can then look at manually OC the RAM in increments until you get to the 2933MHz max.

In addition to the above, make sure that the Windows Power Plan is set to Balanced, Ultra and High Performance are a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues, the setting should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discrete GPU that needs the extra power.

Believe me I will! :D

I've posted some photos, luckily there was an option to lower the speed at the exact value that you told me.

I also checked the power plan, it was on balanced.

So now lets cross fingers!

I will post back with results

Pictures are nice but the Dump Files are what is needed.

You mentioned something like errors during Memtest.  Would suggest you buy some new ram if that is still the case and at the proper speed that has been suggested to you in 2 forums.

As well you can still buy a license Retail not OEM and if decide to change something you can do so .  Please Activate Windows.

As above, please always run the file collection app each time you encounter a new BSOD/crash.

It might be wise to start Windows in Safe Mode (with networking) and see how that is for a day or two. In Safe Mode a stripped down Windows system is loaded and (almost) no third party drivers are loaded. If there are BSODs/crashes in Safe Mode you can be pretty certain that you have a hardware problem. If there are no BSODs/crashes then it's definitely a software/driver problem.

The issue with Safe Mode is that because (almost) no third-party drivers are loaded many devices will not work properly, or at all, because their third-party drivers are not present. You display will be low resolution for example, because only the Windows basic display driver is loaded. This means that you can do useful work or play games in Safe Mode and that makes this a bit of a pain to run. It is a VERY useful and important troubleshooting tool because it will clearly show whether your problems are software/driver related. I do urge you to try running in Safe Mode for long enough to have normally had a BSOD/crash.
