regular crashes when running youtube and or Google earth

Hi

I get regular crashes with my pc. The monitor switches off and the PC resets.  No blue screen.

I tend to notice it when running videos (usually Firefox) or Google Earth (the program, not the website). It may be coincidence though as most of the time I'm at my PC I have one or both of these going. I suspect a graphics card issue, but don't have the skills to work it out.   I've had the issue for years, and just don't play graphics heavy games any more, which also used to cause crashes.

I think the last thing that I was to do when previously receiving help was to post a crashdump, but I wasn't getting any dumps.  I've just followed instructions from the web to change to kernel dumps, and we'll see if they trigger.

Fo those that may chime in, to save you a bit of time there is a bit of Déjà vu going on here when you look at my replies #11 and 13 here

This time though the amount of space has been allowed to drop further to 4%, the CPU is rather toasty at 77 °C and no Windows 11 drives for the MB have ever been installed, the latter cannot presently happen as there is no free storage space on the device for the drivers to install to

This time though the amount of space has been allowed to drop further to 4%, the CPU is rather toasty at 77 °C and no Windows 11 drives for the MB have ever been installed, the latter cannot presently happen as there is no free storage space on the device for the drivers to install to 

Thank you PhillPower - I saw your footer about not responding to those who had let threads drop, so I thought it best not to continue that thread from four years ago (sorry about that) and start fresh as I've probably gathered other issues by now.  Thank you for joining in, I really appreciate it.

I am surprised that the 35GB that I have isn't enough to install drivers on (but not arguing against that being the case).  I'll get the HD cleared tonight.

Hi, why are you not using your ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING Support Page ?   Or  can be using Armoury Crate to Update from within the program from Settings -->Update Center.

You're running BIOS Version :  2006    Date:   13/11/2019    Current BIOS : Version 4401    Date : 2023/10/31  

Please update to this version  and Back Up Your Bitlocker Key Before Doing So.

You have missed many Updates for AGESA, fixed security vulnerabilities, Improve system stability, Fix AMD fTPM issue causes random stuttering, Improve system performance, Support Windows 11 by default, ((( Which means this Bios Update should have been installed before Updating to Win11))) , Offer a Re-size BAR Support option to enhance GPU performance, Improve DRAM stability,

So really the issue lays in not updating your BIOS for the system,  Errors may or may not be fixed after Updating the BIOS. 

If do not have a Paper Manual Download your Manual for Instructions from the above URL.,

I have installed armour crate, and Asus AI suite 3 and run updates, and updated BIOS. as per Phillpower's suggestion in the other post I have turned on DOCP, there was an option for "profile 1" which seems to have upped the ram speed.

Hi, Please explain space as you did not mention it. What size is C: now ??  Faster to say what you are doing.  As we are not there, we do not know so tell us please.

As well you were told pretty convincingly that you must keep Storage on all Drives to 15-20% free at all times in 2020, and then did the same thing here were warned not to do.

I would think if asked to turn on was so could get to a stable setting and info as to what to do. 

The use of DOCP is a Overclocking Tool with Profiles that can quickly jump to while gaming thus the 2133 to 3200 that was recommended.

This should not be turned on while trying to figure out your issues besides space and BIOS.

Please as well turn off in BIOS ASUS Fast Boot for the same reasons as below :

To be aware this AMD chip runs hot @ 78°C,  Max Temp is 95°C  I would want to think of ways to get this Temp down some what.  A docking cooling station or even what I do is lift the laptop up so there is a 1" gap between table and laptop for Air Flow.  Will see small drop but is cheap way.

It would seem that the Ryzen Master is not that great re : Description:
The driver \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\AI Suite III\DIP4\AMDRyzenMasterDriver\bin\AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys is blocked from loading as the driver has been revoked by Microsoft.

You do not want drivers for he Chip being blocked for any reason.    This seems to be the AI Suite III you mention installing in Post #7.

Wiped out all had typed..........screams.   Ok, is on your time.   Note I do not use AI Suite iii, can make Profiles in Bios when enter the right stuff, voltages etc..

Is for on the fly change i think but still Ai Suite is not needed to Enable XMP or AMD version.

The Suite is not needed, ever to turn it on or off, just have to boot to Bios to do it.

Recap on progress:

I made space on the computer by uninstalling some games and emptying trash etc.  I also used the PC Cleaner tool on Ai suite 3. (I couldn't use the PC Manager link that you said as the page says the software is 'coming soon'

I updated the MB bios via EZ update in Ai suite 3

I turned off the bios setting to increase RAM speed

I installed armoury crate and ran available updates

I turned off fast boot in Bios and windows

edited as I realised I hadn't updated Ryzen master. That's done and the speccy link is updated.

I made sure that small dump collection is on

What can be done about the CPU temperature?  It isn't dust clogged. The case has two fans at the front and one at the rear and the stock fan on the CPU.
