You need to wait on a crash dmp expert but looking at the info provided it looks to me like either Windows is corrupt or the storage device is failing, worse case scenario would be a combination of both.

Blue screen has been randomly occurring for years but has gotten really bad after latest update.

Speccy normally lists any updates that have been installed but for some reason your Speccy report lists none.

It may help imov things along if we check the health of the drive';

Remove the USB thumbdrive that you have plugged in and then do the below;

Download and run CrystalDisk info standard edition from here

Run the program, grab any screenshots and attach to your next reply for us.

To capture and post a screenshot;

Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload... then after typing in any response you have... click More Reply Options... Choose File...desktop...find the screenshot.. select it and click on the Attach This File button...then on the lower left...after it says upload...click on add reply like you normally would.

Screenshot instructions are provided to assist those that may read this topic but are not yet aware of the “how to”.

The results ae as mysterious as the missing Windows updates.

LITEON is not a brand normally associated with Dell, did you retro fit this SSD.

The RAM also looks to have been swapped as well.

What is the exact model name or number of the Dell.

Hi, Did at one time have issues with Updates and did you follow a instruction that would delete all entries to fix a issue ??

You're running BIOS Version :  1.3.0  Date:   2/14/2016 Note Win10 was released in 2015 so the very close to start of it.

The current BIOS Version is : 1.36.3   Date : 07 Nov 2022   This update addresses Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE). Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) is a list of security vulnerabilities and exposures that are publicly disclosed.

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ca/product-support/product/latitude-e7470-ultrabook/drivers     Needs to be done. As well install any drivers and Firmware you may have missed.

Do to Update issues please uninstall your : Avira Security  I suggest using Geek Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller as they will remove leftovers better.

Avira Security has a history of leaving left overs.   NOTE : Windows Defender ranks in the top 10 of Security .

Would suggest installing this for Cleanup and to access Windows Security : https://pcmanager.microsoft.com/en-us  and more.

If wanting more control over your Defenders Firewall : https://www.binisoft.org/wfc Note the Developer now works for Malwarebytes thus the colours and stuff.

Please change your  Power Profile   Active power scheme: from High Performance to Balanced as this is a form of Overclocking. As well should not be run all the time.

Only when needed.  Can reduce life span of system and especially dry out the Thermal Paste from excess heat that is produces.

Note : All Drives must have 15-20% free at all Times.  C: drive is @ 18%.  Install stuff using Custom Install. Point to another drive if have one or reduce your programs.

This space is needed for Updates, Swap File, Temp Files and more.  Must be done.

Please run to so we can see more info as well may give a clue to update issues : Download Minitoolbox from the below link :
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/minitoolbox/
Run the tool and only select the following tick boxes.
-List last 10 Event viewer errors
    -List installed programs
    -List devices
-List users, partition and memory size
Now click "Go" and Copy/Paste and post the output text in your next reply

Of the five dumps, four are 0xEF bugchecks - CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. As the name suggests, the BSOD occurred because a process critical to Windows operation died, that is most usually caused by a hardware problem. In all four of the dumps we see a page fault (a reference to an invalid memory page) immediately the kernel is entered but sadly it's not possible to tell from these four dumps what device may be failing.

The fifth dump however is a bit different This one is a 0x7A bugcheck - KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR This means that there was a failure reading a page into RAM from a storage drive. The exception code here is a 0xC000000E, which indicates that a device that does not exist was referenced. Since you only have one drive then it's clear which drive had the problem.

The first thing to try is to remove and reseat that drive. I've seen several problems that were caused by a poorly seated M.2 drive. Just pop it out, check the the port and drive contacts are clean (don't blow on them with your mouth though) and then reseat it firmly. The SMART data suggests that the drive itself hasn't detected any problems, although 40GB is not a great deal of free space to run with on a Windows 10 system drive - I'd be buying a bigger drive if this were mine. If the drive is not at fault then the other possibility might be bad RAM. I would run a RAM test in any case, it's a common source of these kinds of problem and it's easy to test...

  • Download Memtest86 (free), use the imageUSB.exe tool extracted from the download to make a bootable USB drive containing Memtest86 (1GB is plenty big enough). Do this on a different PC if you can, because you can't fully trust yours at the moment.
  • Then boot that USB drive on your PC, Memtest86 will start running as soon as it boots.
  • If no errors have been found after the four iterations of the 13 different tests that the free version does, then restart Memtest86 and do another four iterations. Even a single bit error is a failure.

Let us know how all that goes

Hi, I agree there is not enough room to do anything on your drive let alone fixing the issue.

IMHO it would be best to start with another driver for your programs.  Get a new drive for your programs.  Uninstall all your programs and using Custom Install when the option is present install all your stuff to the new drive.

or

Get a new drive, get all your stuff to a USB that you want to save and then format C: (deleting the System & the UEFI partitions) and reinstall Windows.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10 (choose Pro when asked for a version)

(I personally have in 2 different systems Windows installed on a 250Gig SSD's.)  Once Windows is installed and once loaded up with all the software that forces it's way to C: and what is needed by Programs on C: your left with anywhere from 100-150gig free.

This then becomes ideal situation as it does not grow further in size.

So trying to fix your issues and the updates that are needed is not possible.

Delete a bunch of programs and try to fix the issues or pick one of the 2 options above to fix the issue.

1st things to go is your Avira and let it revert to Windows Defender as it is in the Top 10.  This may also fix the the Firewall Problem listed in the MTB Report.

The above will then tell us if it was a Windows Firewall issue or a Avira  Firewall issue.  Regardless of choices this needs to be resolved.  After Avira Removal run another MTB Report and see if the Error is still there.

Note there are add-ons to make Defender A/V and Firewall more palatable and give more user friendly interface.  If go this way ask instead of Avira let is know.

In the mean time please let us know which you are going to do re stop here and get another drive and which choice your going to do, Clean Install or Uninstall Software.

Or remove a bunch of software and continue.  So 3 Options.     Will help you with installs or anything need help with.

There is no way forward with so little room left on the drive.

This is Boot Up issue : FaultyLCUInstalled   (top of MTB Report) https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=FaultyLCUInstalled

It maybe causing the hardware issue not being able to figure out it's Bootup.   Left unfixed it seems it gets worse and will no longer able to boot.

There is a way to fix but best way to fix is a Clean Install.

Strange difference in the Dell specs, you have an 8GB stick of RAM whereas the Dell specs say 4GB and your SSD while the correct brand is only 256GB as opposed to the 512GB that Dell list, no biggy as a couple of upgrades are in order in any event.

There is a way to fix but best way to fix is a Clean Install.

I concur but in addition to the already advised the install needs to be done correctly, the present set up is slap dash in that the system is predominantly running on generic Windows 10 drivers and Dell computers are notoriously picky when it comes to wanting their own drivers.

How to Install Dell Drivers in the Correct Order Suggest that you either print the list off or make a written note of the order, regardless of which you do,stick to the correct order

Dell drivers from here you will note that there is a critical update for your SSD that dates way back to 2016

Having a matching pair of 8GB 2133MHz RAM sticks will breath new life into this computer.

I did the update of Dell BIOS version from 2022 (https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ca/product-support/product/latitude-e7470-ultrabook/drivers) and it seems to have cleared up my problem. It booted up faster than it has in years without any glitches and ran for hours with no blue screen fault error. This may have done the trick.

Fingers crossed for you that the issue is resolved but if not you have all the info that you need in this thread to be able to address any repeat behaviour.

Having two matching 8GB sticks of RAM is 100% worth doing regardless.

So far so good. I may run some of the diagnostics again for myself. Thank you all for your help. There is a lot of information that's very useful on this thread. I have already changed the power option back to balanced and I am going to remove a lot of files in storage to free up more space, Thanks again!
