BSOD on Fortnite Launch. (Only seems to happen when clicking Fortnite)

Just recently started happening. The BSOD is so quick I cannot even see the error. In event viewer I have a few errors right after the crash. Never happens in any other game. Just happened recently. Maybe the download is corrupted? Only happens when I click the icon I play fine no BSOD when playing.

Note : Speccy Reports that you are running Norton Security as your A/V I believe Norton Security is now dead as Norton 360 has taken it's place (I run Norton 360)

It also shows Defender A/V running.  You can not run 2 A/V at the same time. Either fix issue with Defender running or you will need to uninstall Norton Security.

Use Norton Removal Tool to Uninstall it. Do not save any settings.

You can Stick in MS PC Manager from the Windows Store to help with the cleanup.

As well it does more.  While there with the App Open go down the Left side to Library and install only what you use.

qBittorrent - if any of these games or programs are cracked please uninstall them with Revo Uninstaller or Geek Uninstall as it gets more.  Delete the crack before continuing further.

Am going to Stop here :   Having a program crash at Start usually means that there is stuff missing for it to continue or the program is being stopped from running by Security

With all the things Noted for removal they must be done to figure out what is causing the issue. As well most are not even needed.

I will remove some of the programs. Also, I don't have anything Norton on my computer. Must be old files as I cannot uninstall anything Norton related and have never installed Norton anti-virus to begin with. Speccy must be bugging I mostly use the MS Anti-Virus.

I will go ahead and uninstall some of the programs you mentioned. But not sure why they would cause Fortnite to BSOD. It only happens ocassionally too, and nothing else is causing it to BSOD besides clicking the icon. When the PC restarts I can click it fine and I can play the game for 5+ hours without any issues.

I'll try and make space but my drivers have been more full in the past and never had this issue with Fortnite.

To update the BIOS do I need to do the flashing with a USB or is there a more simple method?

I don't know the exact model of Ram but the speed is 4800MHz

I added the SynsnativeFile. I'll go through some of the apps you mentioned and delete them. I know some of them I use like OverWolf for WoW addons etc.

So re uninstall stuff.  Did you get the removal tool and check if it can find any Norton left overs ?

As for the other stuff things that run during start up and or on scheduler makes fixing issues harder and impossible at times when they could be the issue or triggers something else that is the issue.  Download and install PC Manager as mentioned, use it to turn off stuff from running at start up.  Turn things off in Task Sheduler.

You still must free up at least 20% of your C: drive regardless. so Uninstall as again it must be done regardless.

Your i9-13900K Max Compatible Ram Speed is : DDR5 5600 MT/s or DDR4 3200 MT/s.  I had to put both as you never gave the information .  Next time do so please.

If ram is DDR5 then no problem if it is DDR4 please lower and lock in the speed in Advanced somewhere to below 3200 so you can use XMP.

Note : running the wrong speed of ram breaks your Warranty and Intel can tell what you were running.

Upload the Sysnative Collection to a file share and make it public so can get to it.   I will briefly look at it but the BSOD Expert will not look till late.

I'm pretty sure I downloaded those drivers you mentioned. But I will check and see if there's update for some of those as I haven't looked in the BIOS since I got the PC. Will look at the manual as last time I updated the BIOS I had to use the flash way with the USB.

Also my Memory is DDR5 I built my computer with all the top specs basically. I've had this PC since August ish now and this BSOD started happening randomly while I stopped updating Fortnite one time mid way through update.

I will go and uninstall a game or two to make room for C: drive right now.

So once I remove those programs what are you thinking the root cause of it is. Is it the security check failing when launching Fortnite with easy anti cheat?

I already fully removed Norton like you said. and Turn off all the services running in the background that were unnecessary .

All virus scanners have said there is 0 viruses. So are these just deep-rooted? Also what do you mean I need prohelp for tbs_browser.exe. On the link you said for process checker should I download those programs to try and remove that tbs?

On its own, BEDaisy.sys is a known cause of BSODs, but here we also see the Valorant Anti-Cheat driver vgk.sys being called in the same sequence of function calls. It looks as though vgk.sys is the most likely cause of the BSOD because the call to nt!KiRaiseSecurityCheckFailure (which detected the error) comes immediately after one of the vgk.sys calls...

Sorry, NO Do not download any program from Process Checker.

You can try running as suggested above.    Though if there is further BSOD's upload the Dump Files only.   

To be clear though once have Malware your a danger to your friends and family so choose wisely as to what you download and install.  

Games and programs are something you should never download unless pay.

There is always Malware in them.

how do i uninstall one or the other or make it so they both don't run at the same time. Valorant isn't even running when I use Fortnite. Also both games require anti-cheat to play.

It would be running in the background I would think as a Service or in a Scvhost.exe.  

In Win11 you can find out what is running in a Scvhost.exe file but not in Win10.

If it is a hacked game then all things are off the table as to what, where, how.

Accident. And it's not a hacked game. A hacked game wouldn't use anti-cheat I don't think. But Valorant & Fortnite are both Free to play but require anti-cheats since they are only online vs other players. But I can double check the forums.

Is it most likely those two running together crashing the PC with BSOD?

Some how need to figure out how to run these anti-cheats on demand.
