my laptop (i dont know the specifics other than that shes a dell chosen for her durability, sorry)'s microphone wont pick up any audio input. i can ignore this by itself, i have two seperate pairs of headphones

but when i plug in a pair of headphones, a firefox window containing this text pops up: "XML Parsing Error: no root element foundLocation: chrome://browser/content/webrtcIndicator.xhtmlLine Number 1, Column 1:^". my laptop wont pick up anything i say into the headphone microphone either.

i havent tested the headphones with anything other than voice channels on discord because i dont really have the ability to.

most of my laptop is brand new, but her hard drive was transferred over from an older laptop, which i feel may be relevant.

one pair of headphones is a razer kittykraken. i dont know what the other pair is, but it doesnt ruquire any drivers or anything

this is kinda urgent, i have remote therapy on friday and i need my computer fixed by then

OK - try going into settings and changing your default browser to Edge.

If the problem goes away then use Edge in preference for things where you need to communicate.
