Problem with FB

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here I go.

I am on FB a lot. Right now I am trying to sell some items on FB Market Place.

Everything has been doing okay until the other day then I was texting a buyer and I went to add a photo. I wrote the text like I always did and then I went to attach the photo. It looked like it was doing okay but when I clicked on the photo that I wanted to attach, it did not show up on the messenger.  

I played around on the FB messenger and found out that if I attached the photo first and then did the text, it worked fine.

I have a backup PC and I tried the messenger on it, and it worked fine.

I'd really like to get it back to normal if I can.

Please help!

Update----The other day I turned on my PC and I could not get to Google. The icon that is on the taskbar would do nothing when I clicked on it. So I tried the icon on the desktop--same thing. I then tried the icon on Start list and nothing. 

I finally decided to run a full Virus Scan on Windows Defender--that said there was no problems.

So I tried reinstalling Google Chrome. That worked but not as good as I feel it should be. More on that later!

Thanks for the reply--I will check out what you posted and I will reply. But first I would like to give you a update. Like I said in post #2 I did a recovery and things seem to be working okay. However, what I did not know was that now when I open my PC it opens with Edge instead of Chrome. I have always used Chrome and that is what I want when my PC opens. I looked in "settings" and it looked like Google Chrome was the default app --so why does Edge open instead of Google?? After I just finished this post my PC froze & I had to pull the plug to get it back opened.

I been using Google Chrome. I have been using it for years.

Did the report tell you any thing?

Do you have any extensions in in Chrome that could change the behavior, and have you tried clearing out your browser cache, and can you try edge?

Update. (see post #2) Since I did a RESTORE & a GOOGLE reinstall everything seems to be working okay at this point. Even the main problem that I had with FB is now okay. (see post #1)

The only problem I have right now is the whenever I turn on my PC, as soon as it boots up Microsoft Edge opens by its self. I tried to get it to stop doing that but I had not been successful.

Also, I need to find out how I can see my restore points on my PC. I have been looking for information about that but I have not found anything that works.

Fred, you haven't said what you've already tried to stop Edge opening at startup so you may already have tried the following:

• Restart your computer properly by choosing RESTART from the power options.
• Go into Task Manager's Startup section and disable Edge if it's listed there.
• Open Edge's Settings -> System & Performance -> disable "Startup boost".

You can view your System Restore points via Control Panel -> View large icons (top right) -> Recovery -> Open System Restore -> "Choose a different restore point" -> "Next" button -> Show more restore points. That will display all restore points.

• Open Edge's Settings -> System & Performance -> disable "Startup boost". I found something called "WaveBrowser" and I disabled that. Now Edge does not open when I turn on my PC
