Since updating to Windows 10 Insider Build 21387 I am unable to make a system image backup.  This is something I do after a few weeks of installing each new build. With this build I get the 8078119 error that I don't have enough hard drive space for the shadow copy.  My Laptop hard drive has 113GB of free space and my external drive where I always put the system image has 490GB free.  I tried to follow some tutorials about extending my System Reserved Partition but do not find this in disk management.  Can someone give me a fix for this problem?

No, I was using Microsoft back-up, Make a System Image.  I downloaded AOMEI free and managed to make a system image with that.  But I wished Windows backup worked.

Awhile ago Microsoft posted that they are deprecating System Image in newer versions of Windows 10.

FYI, create the bootable USB flash drive Aomei offers. If Windows does not boot or the drive fails it will let you boot to Aomei using Windows PE and recover the image from the USB external drive.

You're Welcome,

Additionally, you can mount the image to a virtual drive allowing you to pull any file out of the image similar to what was available from Windows System Image.
