Hi,

I am having a little issue here-I am on the latest Insider Preview build. Once my desktop is booted up, things are going great. However it takes like 15 minutes to fully boot up. Any ideas on what is going on? For my pc specifications, see my signature. Thanks!

Sincerely,

  Jesse

Please run sfc /scannow

The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces corrupted and incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

This will need to be run from the Command Prompt (Admin) using an Administrator account.

Press the Windows and the keys together to open the Run box.

Type in cmd, then press the ShiftCtrl, and Enter keys together to open the command prompt as an administrator.

When the Elevated Command Prompt opens type in sfc /scannow, then press Enter.

This will take a while, have patience and allow it finish. Stopping this scan could damage files.

In the Command Prompt you can see a progress bar which rung from the left to right showing the percentage of the scan. When it gets to 90% keep an eye on the finish. If no errors are found you will see the message Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations at the end of the scan, this means that no file corruption was found.

If the scan finds any integrity violation please post the log of this scan. To do this open the Start menu and select This PC, click Local Disk (C:) If C: is not the letter for your ssd/hdd substitute it for your drive letter.

Click Windows, then Logs, then CBS.

The logs have the date and time that a log was made, select the date and time that you ran the sfc /scannow scan. Locate your scan and copy it.

Because this log can be very large I would suggest that you use MediaFire to post the CBS log. Just fill out the requested information and follow the prompts, then post the link it creates in your topic.

OK, I did what you asked, but there were no errors found in the scan and according to my PC it does not have any files in the Window ------> CBS folder.

Sincerely,

  Jesse

Generally topics are not closed unless there are extenuating circumstances, like the topic being moved to the Malware Removal forum which would cause the topic to be closed to all but the Malware Response Team.
