Back Up via File History problem...

I wanted to back up to an empty 64GB thumb drive but got the message that no suitable drive was found. The size of the back up is less than 4GB. 

As using my large external HDD all went OK does this mean one cannot use thumb drives for this action?

does the drive show up under file explorer, or device manager, or disk management?

When you plugin a flash drive you should see a message in the lower right portion of the screen describing the device that was plugged in.  Are you seeing this?

Have you tried using this flash drive on another computer?

Is this on an Insider slow ring build or an Insider fast ring build? There is a huge difference on how different Insider builds handle this action.

Hey guys... I thought it was interesting, apparently so did you.  What interested me or prompted me to address this post was simply curiosity.  This thread is less than a year old.  Nough said???  I certainly hope so.
