I mistakenly installed PC APP Store which bombarded be with adverts and took over my browser. I installed the free version of Malwarebyes which quarantined all of the trash and restored my PC and browser.

PC APP Store no longer appears in the App List when I click Start/Apps, but when I go to Settings/Installed Apps it is still there and the uninstall button is greyed out. How can I uninstall this nuisance and totally remove it from my PC?

I have deleted the files that were quarantined by Malwarebytes and also deleted the prgramme's folder from my drive. I have tried Revo Uninstaller and it cannot find the APP to uninstall.  I have also run the Junk File Remover which has made no difference.

The app is probably inactive, but there must be something still there as it is showing in the list of installed apps.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can use Everything to find and remove files associated with that program. Best to use in safe mode.

I have also tried Everything. Run it in Safe Mode, used the search faciliity to find PC App Store and it found several files and folders. Deleted them all, restarted and PC APP Store is still listed in my Installed Apps in Settings.

That is just an entry. You can remove it with CCleaner or manually by editing the registry.

Followed all of the instructions to the letter. CCleaner did not remove it with a normal scan and it was not ln the Tools/Uninstall list. Tried the registry removal method, followed the instructions and clicked through every entry and checked every display name as per the instructions in both "All Windows Users" and "64 Bit Users" and it was not in any of them. I have also tried the  Powershell removal method "Get App Package etc" which has not removed it.

Is the program listed under Current_User in the registry?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

YES!!

It is in the first one, "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" In a folder of its own with four entries. Do I just delete the folder?.

Do you mean delete the uninstall folder? I wouldn't delete the uninstall folder but if it's a folder in the uninstall folder with the app name then yes, you can delete it.

Can you share a screenshot of the registry location?
