No GPEDIT.MSC_ Temporarily disable digital singature check on driver

From what I've read, gpedit.msc is not an option on the Home Edition of Win 8.1.

As an administrator, I've tried tried searching gpedit.msc several ways with same result. Windows 8.1 doesn't recognize the command

• Win+R
• Command Prompt
• Windows Power Shell
• Searched "This PC" for Group Policy

I'm trying to install Oracle VM. Windows won't allow me to install a driver without a digital signature. I need to temporarily disable this security feature. Every solution I've found requires access to Group Policy Settings, gpedit.msc.

If there is another VM that would work better with Win 8.1, that would be great.

I've seen apps that can get around the digital signature problem. If that's my only solution, I'd rather get a recommendation from one of the BC gurus.

I don't think this is pertinent to my question, BUT.

It seems some people want more information.

I'm determined to move over to Linux. While I'm learning how to use it, I will need to switch between operating systems a lot. I do not want to have to reboot my system every time I need to do it.
