Hi all:

Strangely, I can't seem to find anything on the web about how to add device or user CALs to a Windows Server 2022 installation. What is the process? What do you click on to do this?

When you've finished the process, does it go online to confirm activation (or whatever is the equivalent term here) succeeded?

Thanks.

Hi,

Don't quote me on this but I think this CAL's thing is needed to be in compliant with the Microsoft agreement you sign.

The only CAL's I know that need to be "installed" are the RDS CAL's to allow Remote Desktop Services for several users... in this case to activate the Remote Desktop Licensing Manager server it goes online to check the CAL's available/purchased.

That's sort of what I had surmised. And since Google yielded nothing, I'm going to assume that's correct unless someone can prove it wrong.
