I'm sorry for not properly looking up because i see there is already a similiar topic

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/256269/bsod-error-code-10000050/

should i post there or continue here? because even if we have simliar error it doesnt mean the dmp file will be the same.

that being said, i tried to follow the instruction over there and tough i did find a malware (it was called 'reg tool') and removed it, i couldnt get the windows debug tools and instead encountered error 502. i can search for it online but i cant find it on official windows site and downloading elsewhere seems dengerous since i dont know those places.

should i find and upload the dmp files somewhere, posting links here?

As you do not say what you are doing when this happens it is hard to say.

Possibly is Video Card Related.  Reinstall Drivers.  May need to get a newer card to run newer graphics.  Check the specs of what game you are playing for minimum requirements.

thanks for the reply

my os is winxp and the instruction posted didnt specify what to do in xp case, at the very least it seems the app linked isnt compatible with my os

regarding what i do when the crash happens, its random. it can happen when i play games or when i browse the net. but it useually happens a few minutes after boot, less than an hour. also about once a day.

about speccy, i uploaded, heres a link

http://speccy.piriform.com/results/qHnHfWbgGVNPWVzky5mWLf0

ill try to run scannow now, hopefully the pc wont crash midscan

Edit: the computer did not crash, but soon after the scan started i got a messege asking me to insert windows xp professional cd to my cd drive to copy neccery files to the dll depository

it did so on multiple files

i was also asked to insert home edition cdrom, again on multiple files

i canceled the operation on 20% because it constantly asked me to insert the cd. the scan did not complete and i dont know if there is a partial log/report anywhere.

Hi, No need to use quote all, blast the thing out of the way and type, thanks.

if feel it would complete I would put up with SFC /SCANNOW asking for the disks.

You are running : BIOS Version: 0512  Date: 19/05/2008 should stick in last released Version : 0702   Released : 2010/09/24

As well their is the Chipset and the ATK0110 which is relatively important in old versions of Windows, it will usually be a error in Device Manager when missing.

Lan, Sound.  Lucky as ASUS just redid their website and I bet these are all restored and was empty before other than last Bios.

Grab manual if do not have one.  https://www.asus.com/supportonly/p5kpl-cm/helpdesk_bios/

Since you have the install Media and the motherboard drivers are available I would suggest a clean install then save the M/B Drivers some place safe.

Could try this : https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-perform-a-windows-xp-repair-install-2624915

fyi : There is Hebrew in the Speccy Information which is just stating Motherboard Resources as well as some computer code אװ װךח ׀הח UAA י which is something to be worried about.

Motherboard is getting warm :  49 °C as is the chip : 58 °C  MAX TEMP : 73.3°C though seen higher.   Ram runs hot I understand.

Would think new thermal paste and if can find a video on peeling off the heat sink on the North and South Bridges they could do with it also.

Most skip that s hard to do so board will only lower temps a little.

It could be your issue.

i do not understand what you are telling me to do other than inserting my xp disk for sfc scannow which i will do

in the repair procedure, should i press f6 in step 3?

what am i gonna do about various info on the disk, such as new drivers i aquired or os updates? do i need to reinstall those? where can i find the updates?

what if i fear my bios is curropted?

also, sfc scan does not recognize the home edition i inserted my cd rom

either because its older version or because its auxilary cdrom i plugged with usb as my main cd drive is malfunctioning

sometimes the crash happens if i plug or unplug usb

sometimes when i start the computer it enters an endless cycle of checking my cd and my floppy for boot material

I am telling you your BIOS is out of Date.  Update to the last one released. https://www.asus.com/supportonly/p5kpl-cm/helpdesk_bios/

Save Copy's of your drivers from the Support Page. and if they are newer then install them also.

Or do a Clean install.

just to make sure, but to update my bios i need to

1. download the file from https://www.asus.com/supportonly/p5kpl-cm/helpdesk_bios/

2. unzip the .rom file from it

3. put said .rom file in a fat32 usb drive

4. reset computer and boot the system from the usb drive rather from my normal boot

and than its updated?
