Windows is not connecting to the internet wired or wirelessly. There was never a problem connecting via a wired connection. Then for some unknown reason/s, it stopped. No matter what I have tried ( almost every "solution from the internet) it won't connect.

Help, please!!

Did  you boot to safemode with net working and try connecting to Google?  What error do you get when trying to connect to Google?

I have tried ( almost every "solution from the internet) it won't connect.

Tell us what you tried?

Did you try re installing the network adapter from device manager?

Make a Notepad file and call it Flush.txt    (place it somewhere safe for future use after finishing)

Copy the below exactly as it shows with no alterations :

@Echo on
pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset all
netsh int ip reset all
shutdown -r -t 1
del %0

Save it and then save it again as Flush.bat

Shut all open programs, expect a reboot after you have double clicked Flush.bat to run it

Since you have posted in the Windows XP forum, I hope you are not trying to use Internet Explorer 8. Firefox ESR 52.9 and Opera 36 at least supported TLS 1.2, and there are also fringe browsers that XP diehards have turned to.
