I was able to connect the cd to the virtual machine but for some reason it still didnt recognize the bootable cd.

Cant Install Windows98 through physical cd in virtualbox

Only the OEM Windows 98SE CDs were bootable. You normally needed a startup floppy disk then from there it would access the CD.
You can get a bootable version of 98SE here. Select the OEM Full version

Only the OEM Windows 98SE CDs were bootable. You normally needed a startup floppy disk then from there it would access the CD.
You can get a bootable version of 98SE here. Select the OEM Full version

Ok yeah but it says on the box that this is window98 second edition , and also I remember tried installing it into a computer that ran windows XP and I was able to boot but for some reason it does not work in virtualbox.

Try vmware player it should work.

I was digging through the cdrom in my main computer and I was able to find an autorun.inf file which by what my research says is the file which boots the computer into the instalator I tried to see if I could boot with this file by copying this file into a directory transforming into a .viso file but it still didnt boot (also I tried turning the whole cdrom into a .viso file , nothing changed)

The autorun.inf is mot the boot file fir any application. It is a file thst tells windows what to do when windows 98 disk is inserted.

Try vmware player it should work.
I found this video were the guy disable an option(VT-x/AMD-V) which cant be disabled anymore. And it works, Can i do it through the command line?

I would install vmware if my computerd wasnt so full. I need to reinstalll my os but im waiting to get another pen drive to do it.
