I am having to purchase another PC,as mine is old and worn out.
I'm having to go with refurbished in order to afford one and found one at .Walmart online. I'm sending screenshots of the specs hoping you guys can figure out if it will work with Windows 11. I don't know enough to determine if it will work.

No, too old. That seller is purposely not saying the exact I5 processor to get the suckers to purchase.

The 8100's are 1st gen processors, you need an 8th or newer generation processor.

You need to set your budget higher/

Intel processors older than 8th generation aren't compatible. Most likely all of those

computers are not compatible. Computers more than 6 years old are not compatible.

I think the fact they all have Windows 10 installed tells me that they are too old, too.

Also, for example, this one says it has Win 11 but it is not compatible and the seller hacked Win 11 on it.

This actually has a 4th gen processor and thus not compatible so DO NOT purchase

That's way more than I can afford that's why I'm having to go with refurbished.

What exactly do you use a computer for?

What do you have to store on it?

I mainly use a PC nowadays for general use. I still use the recording software Presonus Studio One 5 some but not for hours on end like I used to. I only use it for medical and pharmecuetical research, general web searches, bill pay, etc. I no longer need a larger, faster, powerful, as I used to need. But I have to try to keep the cost less than $250 if possible. Mine is just wearing out. Takes a long time for the taskbar load, it times out a lot, and sometimes takes a long time to load my Brave browser. I figure it's gonna crash fairly soon!

Were it me...I would question the preference for Win 11 and look at trying to take a look at existing system problems...rather than worrying about system requirements for Win 11.  Mundane tasks do not imply Windows 11, IMO...nor do such call for a different/new system.

Ok. I am under the impression that slow-loading taskbar and browser, as well as long boot-time meant the PC is going south. I'll stick it out for awhile longer.

TBH, you're not going to get much performance out of really old, lower-spec computers. It will be hard to find something good to run 64-bit Win 10 or Win 11 within your budget.

But @Porthos recommended a couple of Win11-compatible, potentially viable options.

If cost is the main factor, then I'd consider getting the "best" refurbished computer you can for your budget -- Windows 11 eligibility notwithstanding - and then wipe the drive and move to Linux.

Respectfully suggested  for consideration by just another home user

As for Linux, would I need to learn a new programming language for that? Or is it like Windows and a pre-coded OS?

There are many different flavors of Linux, some of which are quite similar to the Windows user interface.
And there are ways to "try" it out without having to install it.
It will probably give you better performance on an old, low-spec system than you'll get trying to run Windows 10 or 11.

Of course, it depends on your computing needs. (I don't think you actually do "programming", do you?)

Lots of folks here are Linux experts & they would be happy to help you.

Anyway, it's just a thought...
