ISO desktop that can handle 4k playback and multiple SATA HDD slots not SSD

Hi everyone

I'm looking to buy a Windows desktop that can handle smooth 4k playback on apps like Plex or Jellyfin and has slots for multiple SATA hard drives. I do not prefer SSD drives cause they cost much more when it comes to high capacity. The hard drives i will be installing will average between 8tb to 10tb or more. i do not have money for a NAS server at this time. i have a IBUYPOWER PC that i bought almost 10 years ago that was able to handle my multiple HDD slot needs and still runs decent but its time to upgrade cause for one thing its not handling 4k well. id like to buy such a computer that fits these needs on Amazon this month cause they're having a sale on electronics i heard. I'm willing to spend a grand or more. maybe around 2 grand tops but that's the absolute limit. i don't need top of the line nor am i a gamer but i know gaming PCs are better equipped to handle these kind of requirements. i also plan to do some video editing like on Davinci Resolve. Also i prefer to have a PC that has a slot for my Bluray optical drive not a external slot for a optical drive preferably. i know this sounds like this would be better suited for a custom build but I'm asking on here if there's something that's pre-built that fits my needs cause it would be easier. I would find it to be a struggle to put it together piece by piece myself and i would like to purchase this new PC soon.

I'd recommend ssd over hdd for the simple fact they are faster than spinner drives

true but i need a lot of storage space for my needs and they are very expensive in higher capacity unfortunately still.

A SSD (NVMe) for the "C" drive (home drive) and HDDs for storage purposes is the best approach to large storage needs. 

A desktop with many drive bays is one of the first things to look for in your desktop.

Where is the region (country) are you located in and maybe which city (if possible)? This will help make better suggestions for desktops and prices for your request.

Since it recommends a SSD for media storage, then consider adding a SSD (SATA type) for the media work and use the HDDs for saved/stored files.

 

gotcha. yea i see some computers included both one ssd for the OS drive and a HDD i assume for storage. but thats it thats all ive been seeing. or they can only hold those two drives. know any brands that are known for offering multiple slots for drives? im surprised most don't even offer a optical drive now. times have definitely changed since when i was shopping for the previous pc i mentioned i bought it seems. i have my own optical drive that still works so im going to use that again. im in new york on long island. east meadow to be exact.

Buy one hdd for storage and buy an ssd to house the media you play the most.

i have a couple of hdd's for media/storage that  are still good. like i prefer large capacity and i just dont have the cash for the  insane prices they charge for that for ssd unfortunately...

Get a small SSD to house only your OS and other necessities, they are NOT expensive.  The benefit IMO is that you can image your OS in minutes as opposed to hours and be up and running very fast.    

Check out one of these stores closest to you... they will take your order (with their help, guidance and advice for the custom build that you want) and have it built and finished for you and up and running before the end of the day to take home.

Their prices seem reasonable and the quality looks OK.

Something to consider to get that desktop "exactly" the way you want it to be.

Yup that is the new trend... cloud storage and online media/streaming/increasingly massive numbers of cable channels have changed things for the need for DVD/Blu-ray .... how many DVD rental stores are still open today... still remember Blockbuster from how many years ago before they went broke?

I have lots of media files stored, but all are on HDD or SSD or USB sticks, not on discs.
