Ive found my old drive with all of my photos but theyre encrypted into this .jpgx format. Initially encrypted by Acer eDataSecurity app which doesnt work on modern laptops. Ive found another app that can supposedly decrypt the files but I dont remember the password. Its something simple but for the life of me I cant recall. Does anyone know how I can decrypt these files? Im a complete novice in cryptography so dont even know where to start. Ideally I would like to find an easy to use app that would try and crack the encryption using a file with the most common passwords / brute force it but I havent seen any clear info that this can be done on this file extension.

Thanks a lot for your help!
