The McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool allows you to remove component data of McAfee consumer products listed below on your windows system. This tool is to be used after uninstalling McAfee software through the windows installer tool. This tool will not run on Windows 98 or ME.

Please note, that the security characters the tool will ask you to enter are case-sensitive.

McAfee Family Protection
McAfee Internet Security
McAfee Online Backup
McAfee Total Protection
McAfee LiveSafe

MCPR does not remove McAfee PC Optimizer. If you want to remove PC Optimizer, use the standard Windows Add/Remove (Programs and Features) programs method

Users of Windows 10 and 11 please uninstall any McAfee product before running this program. To do this simply:

Click on Start
In the search bar type Programs and Features
Click Programs and Features
Find McAfee products in the list
Click uninstall and follow all prompts until complete, then run this tool by clicking on MCPR.exe in your downloads folder and follow the onscreen prompts.
