Unfortuntaely the same drive failed again, after a few months of normal use. Try using testdisk but it can not detect any partitions. On windows disk management, it thinks the drive is 2Gb instead of 2Tb. Any way to recover data from the drive?

Data recovery with no partition?

If the drive is a HDD or SSD then it's 2TB.
You can see if PhotoRec can recover any data. It does it in real time so you need to have the required disk space. PhotoRec also allows you to search for certain extensions. Qphotorec is the GUI fronts end for PhotoRec. 2GB would be the size of a small flash drive. PhotoRec is in the Testdisk folder. Optimally you want to put the testdisk folder on a USB HDD recovery drive.
