Should be OK!

I purchased the Kingston Hyper X in addition to the Samsung. However the memory is DIMM not UDIMM. Does this make a difference DIMM  vs. UDIMM? Both are non buffered and non ECC. The data inserted in the picture shows that DIMM contains buffering and hardware registration whereby the specifics on the website state Non ECC and Non Buffered (Hyper X). I'm getting confused here. Can you assist me?

* The original memory (SAMSUNG) pictured has 10600U, is that UDIMM with the 'U' after 10600?

Addendum

I filed a complaint with Ebay for copyright and trademark violation as well as false advertisement and misrepresentation of the Crucial  DDR3 memory I purchased from Ebay. Ebay also provided a reference number to the complaint I filed. I received an email from Crucial today stating the memory I purchased in not genuine and they will not support that memory. ( so the part itself is not one we would ship or support).Crucial told me to contact the merchant which I did.

Crucial stated via phone that Crucial never manufactured memory in the United States; only China and Mexico.

Here is a picture of the 'counterfeit' merchandise.

Not really. It will be OK. For simple home users such as ourselves, either is OK.

I am surprised Crucial isn't after the vendors or sellers or manufacturers of these imitation Crucial products.

Maybe they are doing something about it, it's just we don't know it yet.

Well, I just contacted Kingston Technology and spoke with Daniel. Take a guess, the Hyper X I purchased is counterfeit as Daniel said the numbers do not match. The complaint I filed with Ebay ( For Crucial Memory) went for naught as Ebay stated there was 'no' violation as to Ebay's policy; an outright lie. Ebay is working hand in hand with the Chinese to accrue more money. This is clearly a Copyright and Trademark violation. This is also False Advertisement and Misrepresentation. I am disputing all these counterfeit/ fake memories with my bank cards. And, I'm filing a complaint with the United States Federal Trade Commission. This is unbelievable. China is taking advantage of the DDR3 memory in counterfeiting. Thank you very much for the support and courtesy.

When I filed a complaint on Ebay, the characters allowed were 100, yet Ebay would not allow even 67 characters. Ebay will fold when they least expect. I've conducted business on Ebay for over twelve years as I have a small store. Things are changing rapidly and for the worst!

Yes my guess too it is coming from China.

They do pass off fakes for other parts too such as CPUs and graphic cards. It's nothing really new.

China never throws anything away and always reuses everything and resells everything as much as possible. So they probably have many miles of warehouses of used products to sell.

Not to mention they love to reverse engineer everything (or just steal it) as much as possible and then build it for the marketplaces, instead of designing their own.

Thanks for the update and thank you for actually standing up and trying to be heard about this.

There are so many Chinese sellers on eBay, Amazon and Newegg and wondering who these sellers really are.

Alibaba (alibaba.com) is a Chinese market with many more cheap products (and even sold in bulk), and some of these are selling knockoffs too (anything from clothes to you name it).

Trouble is some much is made in China these days and with the dead or ended  product lineups, they still have the tooling, patterns, molds, dies and jigs, equipment and machinery, computer spec'd and setups to just keep going and make more products on their own - and then sell it as fakes.

Ebay removed the HYPER X, yet allowed the other Crucial memory to remain when in fact both had violated the Copyright and Trademark laws and each displayed False Advertisement and Misrepresentation. Can you explain this? I purchased Kingston as Daniel from Kingston Technology said the numbers matched if that is what I would receive. He further added that you don't know until you receive it. I cannot believe the snakes out there which is increasing, just as prophecy forewarned in the Sacred Scriptures. I have no alternative but to purchase on Ebay, Amazon ,or Newegg as you have said. No one manufacturers DDR3 any longer and China knows this. You are absolutely correct in your synopsis. Enclosed is the link from Ebay on my latest purchase, hopefully legitimate RAM but who knows. Pic inserted as well. A great many know this and they just tell Ebay or Amazon "They never received the item"> A never ending game which I refuse to be part of. Thank you very much for your time and assistance. As you state, "Yes my guess too it is coming from China". They're all coming from China.

Thank you! And thank you for the insights.

After spending way more than $100.00 for 'fake/ counterfeit RAM, I purchased from Amazon. Most all of the memory I purchased was counterfeit confirmed by all the manufacturer's (Kingston, and Crucial). I did place an order through Amazon for A-Tech but quickly cancelled as the 'Customer Service' is just horrible. The person (Rigley) I spoke with was no more than a con covering for a company consisting of snakes. He said the CL was classified and he could not give it out. I said,"It is clearly showing on Amazon". I asked to speak with a supervisor and he never returned. I called about six times after and the recording stated" "Disabled for this Extension"> 'Neat Trick'. Then , I emailed and never heard from A-TECH. I cancelled from Amazon and we would not recommend at all this supplier (A-Tech). They're crooked and lie right to your face. In fact, there may only be one person there. "Do Not Ever Purchase' from A-tech.

I've been researching DDR3 memory for at least three weeks and find nothing more than dishonest people looking to entrap the unsuspecting. In fact, in my latest complaint on Ebay, the seller charged me twice for the same item. Only ordered one, not two.

Now I believe I have found a legitimate company whereby I have ordered today and feel confident in receiving good memory. I'm not familiar with OWC but they seem to be a viable, knowledgeable company providing assistance to the technical people. All opinions here are appreciated.

@0lds0D Thanks very much for your support. I felt I may as well continue with my searching for memory in continuum.

Link from Amazon as to what I ordered (2rx8) which I could not find anywhere, at least with 16 GB (4x4).
