I would guess as others have mentioned why bother when end of life is 17mos away.
As well if do not use it, there is no need.

My system information list gives -
Device Encryption Support - Elevation required to ViewHave no clue what that means - answers please somebody.
It simply means that you need to run the System Information app as Administrator.
If it now shows "Device Encryption Support - Meets pre-requisites" then your computer's hardware is compatible with device encryption.
Note that device encryption will only work with a Microsoft Account login as that's where the BitLocker Recovery Key is stored.

Secret Squirrel: "...device encryption will only work with a Microsoft Account login...."
Ah, maybe that was the issue or part of it. Only Local Acct. here, so this is good to know for future reference.
As for csm--I learned about that the hard way when Windows 11 came out in end of June 2021 and Secure Boot was required. I simply went in BIOS and disabled it and had an unbootable drive as a result. So yeah, no csm. I will probably have to mess with the C-states as I recall having adjusting something due to my PC going to sleep too soon.
Or I can leave things the way they are as my curiosity about device encryption sort of fizzled out.
Windows 10 stable | Defender | Fox in the Box | uBlock Origin | H_C FirewallHardening | VS Cyberlock
Windows 11 Insiders beta channel: exact same as above + Hasleo Backup Suite

I am using a local account, I do not have a MS account. Which from what is being said answers my particular case.
