Everything is as in my last post.As for switching the PC back on again,I took the battery out,switched it on and left it on all night.I tried it again the next morning and I have explained what happened in my last post.Thank you for trying to help but I think it is now a case of,the PC needs a qualified technician to get it going again.

Most likely, this is the right option in your case. How did the issue eventually get resolved, if it got resolved at all?
