Yes, I play only RPGs, no shooters. I looked them up. I can play them, except for Cyberpunk 2077 which I can still play, just not on recommended.

12GB for the video card was the only option I had. The prebuilt PCs in my country are very expensive and they don't offer a lot options. I would have tried building one, if I had any clue what I was doing, or if I knew someone that could help me, but I don't.

Some more specifications that might help you in determining which of the 2 above configurations is better:

- The cooler is: Cooler CPU ID-Cooling SE-214-XT Basic

- PSU: ATX 750W, 12Cm fan, retail deepcool pf750

- Case: ATX Gaming Design Tempered Glass Thermaltake View 21TG

As for the monitor I'm not sure yet. It's not so much upgrading as is replacing because sometimes it's acting out. As I said, it is a bit old.

This case, does it have any or some air vents to allow for cool air to flow into the case? Or is the front closed off with the glass?

The rest of the components seem OK.

Not the best but these are passable.

"I would have tried building one, if I had any clue what I was doing, or if I knew someone that could help me, but I don't."

You could have asked here at this forum for guidance and help.

And ask for help for the work through for the actual part selection and the actual building of the desktop. With the best possible budget of course.

This is the only air vent it has close to the front, only on its right side https://imgur.com/a/BEbYcMW

"You could have asked here at this forum for guidance and help."

I've read way too many forum threads started by people who tried to built their on pcs only to find that it's not working. And as someone who until 3 days ago didn't even know the difference between SATA and NVMe, I'm afraid I'm in no way qualified for such an endeavor.

OK You may have to remove the glass front panel when gaming, if you see the CPU and the graphic card are getting too hot, when doing the gaming sessions. And put it back after the sessions.

Maybe have to do  that.

As it doesn't have the best intake airflow in the front.

Cool air entering from the front with good air pressure (as in little or no restrictions in the front panel), then cooling the components and exiting or exhausting out the back (and in some cases exhausting out the top and the back).

You will be learning a lot about builds and components in time. Get some knowledge and start thinking things out. It can very well happen that you will build the best desktop. And the second build will be better and the third will be even better - you get the idea of what I am saying!

This is the case I am using at the moment https://www.deepcool.com/products/Cases/CK500-WH-Mid-Tower-ATX-Case-White/2021/14302.shtml

In White, got it on sale for under 65 Canadian dollars (that is very cheap!) at a retail store. Not the best case or the most expensive case or the best looking, but it is more than adequate and it makes for a good build.

It has good air flow in the front as the front has a good air gap around that cover panel and between that panel and the front of the case. Front panel removes easily (held on with magnets and two bottom pins) exposing the screen with a large vent area in the front.

Never see the  CPU go over 65 C or the GPU go over 72 C.

"You may have to remove the glass front panel when gaming"  I cannot do that. If I tamper with it in any way, I will lose the 2 year warranty that it came with.

"Get some knowledge and start thinking things out. It can very well happen that you will build the best desktop" That may well be so, and in the future I will try. But right now I do not have the required time for it. I'm in my 1st university year and in 3 months I need to take a Blender exam which is why I wanted to get this PC now, when I was finally able to save up enough money for it.  I still had a bit less than I needed but I was able to borrow the difference.

I need this PC now, so I have enough time to familiarize myself again with Blender and work on my 3D portfolio. My old PC barely allowed me to sculpt a character bust before starting to lag considerably.

Very good!

You should do well at university with flying colours!
In time you will graduate, be gainfully employed and then be well paid and then be prepared to build the desktop.

Yes, but that does not help at all with the issue I'm facing right now.  Thank you though.
