You did import both certificates - one from Nvidia and the other one from Microsoft? Yes?

Both are needed.

I only looked at the setup.exe's certificates and never looked at the properties of the Installer itself for both certificates - your Window's could be missing the Microsoft certificate. Deleted the whole thing (files and folder) after posting, so I can't check it any more to verify if there are two certificates inside the Installer itself.

The Window's Device Managers has a 'Display adapter' listed that shows information for this card.  Is it accurate?

Can you update the driver using Window's Device Manager?

Use this if the Nvidia installation fails again.

While we are still in the Device Manager, are there any yellow Bangs (or exclamation mark(s)) to be seen in the folder tree?

Right click these if there are any there, open the Properties, open the Details tab, and use the Copy  of the first code that is seen in the listing.

And post it using Paste.

Open the command and type in this: dxdiag

And press Enter key.

Did it pass the Signature Check?

Open the Display tab, and do the specifications match up properly?

Did it find any problems?

Another thought.

If this card was bought used or from a relatively unknown seller, then this exact card could actually be another card in disguise and could be considered a fake.

Lets first see if this card is in fact a GT 1030 by verifying it with some software.

Download this and run it (yes this is a very safe site and so is this software):  https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

Does GPU-Z say it's a real GT 1030 model? Does the GPU-Z indicate the correct  corresponding details about this card and match properly as described by the vendor and the card's details such a AIB partner (manufacturer), amount of memory, and so forth?

(This card if it is not genuine then this may be the reason why the installer could not find a 'compatible graphics hardware').

Well, if that were the case why was I able to download and install the application (GT1030) 14 days ago (472.12 and 474.66?

"No problems", completed all tasks in "Next" to the end

No, definitely not. I know what you're referring to as I checked all controllers and displays.

It could be the certificate(s) being the issue.

Update these and then try the update.

* What do you mean, 'Both certificates'? I only see the Nvidia certificate.

AH. I see now.

Possible that both certificates are needed and the MS cert is missing in your system.

I unpacked the Nvidia installer using 7 Zip treating it as an archive and opened up the properties of the setup.exe to find both certificates - one from Nvidia and the other from Microsoft.

You could try this out  using 7Zip too - free and open source software  download from here: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html

Don't get the beta and instead get the latest stable version.

I very much appreciate the outstanding support and help. However, I'm at wits end. I just cleared cache and cookies, used Disk Cleanup- 'Deleting most all files' and tried reinstalling the Nvidia security update (474.89). Again could not install due to incompatibility. I'm hesitant to move further with 7-zip due to the amount of failures to this point. The update would not make any difference and there would be no support for my system. I used the GT220 well over its secure point (at least eight years or more); never any problems other than the fan needed to be replaced. Those .exe files are a little troublesome.

** If that were so, "Why was I able to download and install the prior application and update (2 weeks ago)  {472.12 and 474.66}? This makes no sense as to why I cannot install the security update from Nvidia (474.89). I believe these are game ready drivers or adjoined to them. I do not play games, so this may be no benefit to me, I'm guessing.
