Kaspersky Total Renewal Questions?

 

Now has anyone here purchased kaspersky total and activated it while abroad and did that work?

KL strictly enforces geo-restriction and the product pages at Amazon also clearly state that product/license sales are restricted to certain countries. Moreover, gray-market, black-market or other illegitimate "cheap" keys will most definitely be rejected/blacklisted.

What do you mean by enforces geo restriction?  So you are saying if I buy the code from amazon usa site and then activate it on my laptop but I am outside of the US, that wouldn't work?  So it recognizes my IP address when I am activating it?

 

 

But wouldn't it matter which kaspersky total region you have downloaded on your laptop?  Thus I am pretty sure I have the usa region on it.

I'm not sure why you continue to ask the same questions over and over again.

 

GEO-RESTRICTION refers to the RESTRICTION by software publishers/vendors and/or resellers/retailers to the sale and license activation for customers in certain GEOGRAPHICAL locations.

For example, a customer in the U.S. may not be able to activate a license purchased in Europe, Africa or Asia.

For another example, a customer in Europe may not be able to activate a license purchased in the US.

This was already explained several times in earlier replies here and elsewhere.

 

Perhaps some of the confusion arises from the fact that you have multiple, identical open threads both here and elsewhere.

Yeah just buy Kaspersky at Wallmart or install Avast. I used the codes from the retail version very often. I bought them in electronics shops.

So....Johnny90, eh?  And why did you dig up a month old post and reply 2 times to it? 

So I have to renew my kaspersky total again.  But it cost $53 and I got it on sale last time.  Does anyone know of a site that I could buy the kaspersky total us version of it for less?

 

 

Lot of people say defender is good enough but what if you click on some link or download something or open a file and it has virus/malware?  Will defender protect laptop as good as kaspersky total?  Again I mean if you didn't mean to click on it.
