You're very computer savvy.

If this were my main production box being used for "work", I'd be more concerned about using an obsolete, insecure email client on an obsolete, insecure Windows OS platform.

It's certainly your choice.
I hope you find a workable, secure solution.

Respectfully submitted

Lol, If I was savvy I'd not have made such a dumb mistake.

According to Microsoft I'm covered with security updates until Jan12 2027.

I'll take the email one on the chin :)

I've tried every year to get it updated but with a huge workload it's just never worked out for me :)

thanks all.

Signing off.

Hi:

I’m not sure where you read that Win 10 21H2 will get updates until 2027???

Was that a typo?

At the risk of beating the proverbial “dead horse”, for anyone who might find this thread...

Windows 10 21H2 Home and Pro reached EOS in June 2023:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-10-home-and-pro

Windows 10 Enterprise and Education – indeed ALL editions, versions & builds of Windows 10 – will be retired in October 2025:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-10-enterprise-and-education

(Assuming MS does not extend the October 2025 deadline for Windows 10, the only exception might be LTSC versions. LTSC is not for personal use. So, if you’re using the LTSC edition – from your employer – then it would be advisable to consult your IT team to assist with updating to the current build, for stability and security reasons for you and for the company.)

Signing off, as well.

Good luck!

The CA Cert is the one get from your certificate source which should be in your account cutting available for download because its not a common one like Verisign

Sorry, I had unsubscribed from this thread.

I don't follow this sentence.

I came to to post the good news about the theme, which I have managed to fix. I thought I'd post here in case anyone else, however unlikely, might want to do the same.

I had a theme called Galaxy Persona installed in Thunderbird. It's a lightweight theme, not a full theme, meaning it only affects the header and footer.

I copied the lightweighttheme-header and lightweighttheme-footer files and the lwtheme folder from my old profile folder to my new profile folder.

I added the following preferences to prefs.js in the new profile folder.

user_pref("browser.theme.content-theme", 1);
user_pref("extensions.activeThemeID", "default-theme@mozilla.org");
user_pref("extensions.webextensions.uuids", "{\"default-theme@mozilla.org\":\"30036557-5bd8-4356-a40e-2d512379eac5\",\"{d10d0bf8-f5b5-c8b4-a8b2-2b9879e08c5d}\":\"1efc5c9f-de33-4561-af5f-7ec2be7e6bf8\"}");
user_pref("lightweightThemes.persisted.footerURL", true);
user_pref("lightweightThemes.persisted.headerURL", true);
user_pref("lightweightThemes.selectedThemeID", "87983");
user_pref("lightweightThemes.usedThemes", "[{\"id\":\"87983\",\"name\":\"Galaxy Persona\",\"headerURL\":\"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/87983/Galaxy-Firefox.jpg?1270134806\",\"footerURL\":\"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/87983/Galaxy-Firefox1.jpg?1270134806\",\"textcolor\":\"#ffffff\",\"accentcolor\":\"#949494\",\"iconURL\":\"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/87983/preview_small.jpg?1270134806\",\"previewURL\":\"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/87983/preview.jpg?1270134806\",\"author\":\"Michael_handy\",\"updateURL\":\"https://versioncheck.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/themes/update-check/87983\",\"version\":\"0\",\"updateDate\":1477272789227,\"installDate\":1477224523511}]");

And Viola! Every now back to how it was before the upgrade attempt.
