Seeking Assistance / Windows 7 Lost All My Data / Hard Drive Failure

 

It appeared as many updates failed.

 

If you haven't already, install KB4490628 and try again. The update is a prerequisite to some while failing to be offered by Windows Update.

 

Thank you very much. when I moved to the Microsoft catalog, there were many versions of kb4490628. When I returned to this forum to post a picture, Bleeping computer would not allow me to post that extension in images (Picture). As moving back to my PC, there were updates waiting and guess what 'kb4490628' was scheduled and that update was installed.

* There are some optional updates that I would like to install even though the devices are working properly. Should I install or leave alone?

1.) Intel - Other hardware - Intel® Management Engine Interface

2.) NVIDIA - Display - 23.21.13.9135

3.) NVIDIA Display  driver update released in  March 2018

4.) Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - Audio - Realtek High Definition Audio

At the Catalog you have to know which OS you're running on. Is it Windows Server 2008 R2? No. Is it Windows Embedded Standard 7? No. Is it Windows 7? YES. Is it Windows 7 32-bit? No. Is it Windows 7 64-bit? YES. That leaves windows6.1-kb4490628-x64_d3de52d6987f7c8bdc2c015dca69eac96047c76e.msu.

The updates failed with error 80092004 will install now unless they've been hidden.

I did install  kb4490628. However, what of all the updates that did not install? It looks like 118 were not installed. Again, no operating system problems and I reinstalled MSE and Windows Live Essentials in accompaniment with Movie Maker.  What of all the updates that were not installed? No updates have been hidden but one which would not install after four times, so I hid it.

Give it another shot. All .NET failures happened prior to KB4490628.

However 4534310 has a track record of failing. It may work if you download it from the Catalog.

Thank you very much. The updates are working. I very much appreciate the courtesy and outstanding support you have provided to me. i really do not care for the architecture of Windows 10 or 11. Update  4534310 has tried installing four times without success.

Which one?

Version  4534310 will not install.

Update:

I installed a Western Digital Hard Drive and an additional 4 Gb. of DDR3 RAM 2Gb. + 2Gb.) >Crucial (10600). My HP Pavilion P6370T only has a maximum of 8 Gb.s. However, I see a difference in browsing the internet, multi tasking, and processing. There is a improvement with 4 Gb.'s of extra RAM. All updates were installed, so I cannot ask for anything more.  The Hard Drive  (640 Gb.) is not working as hard and the data transfer speeds are improved.  I wish to thank everyone for the outstanding support I received on this forum, "Especially from Volume Z".

I'm also adding a new graphics card to replace the GT620 > GT1030. I'm just ancient.

* Will the MOBO suffice for the below graphics: GT1030?
