copy and paste from what and what browser? I can copy and paste just fine on this forum using linux.

Im using google chrome with no issues but I will try my firefox.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt would have stood up in the Commons and delivered the Budget, bringing an end to three years of rolling geo-political and economic crises and multiple inflation shocks.

Two different ways of presenting quotes but copy/paste definitely seems to be working in Firefox on Mint. I just lifted this short paragraph from today's BBC site and Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V worked as I would expect it to. Are you by any chance trying to use the quote function in a topic in the SpeakEasy ? The use of the quote function is disabled for everybody in that forum section but you can still use inverted commas to paste a quote.

No, I was going to post a question on here about a problem with my computer. I copied and pasted it without any issues on two other forums from the MX Linux forum where I originally posted it. I have found the solution to the problem from one of the other forums. It is only here that copy and paste doesn't work for me when I want to post a question. I believe you that copy and paste works for you. It doesn't work for me which the only reason is I am being discriminated against. Who ever is behind this discrimination will show themselves when they say otherwise proving that they are a liar! Thank you.

Nobody at BC is preventing you from copy/paste, at least not until after you have made your post. There are two exceptions to this - banned spammers cannot post anything whatsoever and members who have been suspended from posting cannot post for the period of the suspension. Since you are neither a banned spammer nor under suspension then you should be able to use the normal tools in posting on the forum irrespective of the OS or browser you are using.

I regret but since no one else has reported this as a problem on BC, and all the evidence from the other posters in this topic is that copy/paste works for them, then i have to conclude that the problem is at your end. But I still don't understand how you can use copy/paste on Forum A and not on Forum B.
